Cars in Germany's City Found Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Authorities reported they were notified by a individual who found a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Approximately 50 cars have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers report they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident noticed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The substance had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found many other marked automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say initial examinations indicate the fluid was likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; officials are currently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the incident," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the community for information.

An important official said the attack left him stunned and required to be addressed promptly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right attack in 2020," he posted on social media, referring to the death of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
